Promoting Mental Health: Healing Trauma and Building Resilience in Displaced Communities
Mirror Group Network’s Mental Health Program
Mental Health Program is a compassionate initiative designed to support the emotional well-being of refugees and host community members in Uganda. Through counseling services and awareness campaigns, the program addresses trauma, stress, and social challenges empowering individuals to heal and thrive.
Program Objectives
Individual & Group Counseling: Professional support sessions help participants process trauma, build resilience, and regain emotional stability.
Mental Health Awareness: Community workshops and outreach activities reduce stigma and educate individuals on coping strategies and available resources.
Trauma Recovery & Emotional Healing: The program fosters safe spaces for reflection, dialogue, and psychological recovery.
Social Reintegration: By improving mental health, participants are better equipped to engage in education, employment, and community life.
Why Mental Health Support Matters
Displacement often leads to deep emotional wounds. Without access to mental health care, individuals face barriers to recovery and reintegration. This program restores hope, dignity, and strength—one conversation at a time.
