Livelihood Support Program: Building Financial Independence Through Savings, Loans & Literacy
Mirror Group Network’s Livelihood Support Program
Livelihood Support Program is a community-driven initiative designed to promote financial stability and independence among refugees and host community members in Uganda. Through savings groups, access to micro-loans, and financial literacy training, the program empowers individuals to take control of their economic futures.
Program Objectives
Savings & Credit Access: Participants join community savings groups and gain access to small loans for business development or personal needs.
Financial Literacy Training: Workshops equip individuals with essential skills in budgeting, saving, debt management, and investment planning.
Entrepreneurship Support: The program helps aspiring entrepreneurs launch and grow small businesses, fostering self-reliance and economic resilience.
Community Empowerment: By strengthening financial knowledge and access, the initiative builds more stable, confident, and connected communities.
Why Financial Literacy Matters
In displacement-affected areas, financial exclusion is a major barrier to recovery. Access to savings and credit paired with financial education creates pathways to dignity, opportunity, and long-term sustainability.
