Supporting Mothers, Empowering Children
While mothers attend vocational training classes, their children are nurtured in a safe and caring environment at our on-site daycare center. More than just supervision, we provide early childhood education that fosters growth, learning, and development ensuring both mother and child thrive together.
Since its founding in 2013, Mirror Group Network has positively impacted the lives of over 2,000 individuals empowering women, youth, and families through education, vocational training, and community support. Background
Mirror Group Network is a refugee-led nonprofit organization founded in 2013 to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity among displaced women and youth across East Africa. Born from the shared experiences of communities in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda, and Uganda, our network unites refugees and host communities to build capacity, foster resilience, and promote peaceful coexistence.
Our journey began in response to a growing crisis of lost values where young people, facing displacement and trauma, turned to drugs, alcohol, and survival-based exploitation. We chose a different path: one rooted in empowerment, creativity, and community healing.
Through vocational training, entrepreneurship, cultural dance, arts and crafts, and mental health support, Mirror Group Network helps youth and women reclaim their potential and become agents of change. We believe that every displaced person carries within them the power to rebuild not just their own lives, but the fabric of their communities.
Today, we continue to grow as a beacon of hope and transformation, driven by the belief that inclusive development and local leadership are the keys to sustainable peace.
