Daycare Program: Nurturing Young Minds, Building Inclusive Communities
Mirror Group Network’s Daycare Program
Daycare Program provides early childhood education and care services to refugee and host community children in Uganda. This initiative creates a safe, nurturing, and developmentally rich environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
Program Objectives
Early Childhood Education: The program supports foundational learning through play-based activities that enhance cognitive, social, and motor skills.
Safe & Supportive Environment: Children are cared for in a secure setting that promotes emotional well-being and healthy development.
Social Integration: By bringing together children from diverse backgrounds, the program fosters inclusion, empathy, and peaceful coexistence from an early age.
Support for Working Parents: The daycare enables refugee and host community caregivers—especially women—to pursue education, employment, or entrepreneurship while their children are safely cared for.
Why Early Childhood Care Matters
In displacement-affected communities, access to quality early education is often limited. Investing in young children not only improves long-term outcomes but also strengthens families and communities. Early care lays the foundation for resilience, learning, and social harmony.
